I decided to grill tonight. I made some pork chops just seasoned with nature’s seasoning and a table blend spice. I also made black beans and rice and cooked carrots with some butter. It was really good. While I was out side grilling, I managed to get this sweet pic of a dandelion.
There were a lot of good pics. I narrowed it down to 28 for your viewing pleasure.
So Brian came down again and we went photo hunting at the Como Park Zoo & Conservatory. I personally will probably never visit this zoo again. It is free so that is a bonus, but believe me you can tell. All the animals looked so sad and i really just had a weird vibe going after we left. The conservatory was really cool. There were lots of plants that wouldn’t normally be able to survive in this region. I have a ton of pics to post from that too but I have reached my monthly upload limit on flicker for the month so that will have to wait a bit. I cant wait for you too see them there are so many cool pics. Here is a few pics from the zoo I nabbed. A lot of the animals were in tiny glass cages and it was dark. so I really had a hard time trying capture it with the dark and the finger printed up glass. These are a few I got outside in the sun.
This last cracks me up it was like a backdrop they had there for some show. It looks like it should be a screen saver.
My camera will not auto bracket in RAW mode..:( So these are technically tone mapped jpeg’s. But they still turned out pretty cool… I also figured out how to link up higher resolution pics through flicker so if you click each image you will get a bigger one! I have alot more stuff to post from this day, but feeling lazy so here is a teaser.. One of these day i will relink all those pics from the sculpture garden but that will have to wait for another day.
So after my 3th visit today and a visit a couple of weeks ago. I finally got something to come out sort of the way I was hoping for. The reason it took so many times was because there were cars parked against the building blocking my shot. I used a technique shown to me by a friend where you take multiple shots then use a program to render them all together to make one big image. I think it turned out pretty cool. I did a little research into the mural. It was done by group that go by the name of BrokenCrow. I have noticed at least one more building with their work on it right here in Northeast Minneapolis. I tried to get a picture that one today too but I think I will have to do that one early morning some day since there was no sunlight on it this afternoon. My good friend Brian and I went out on a beautiful sunny spring day in Minneapolis this past Sunday and did some shooting. I don’t have the best gear just a Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ8 it may not be the best camera but it still takes some pretty nice shots for a point and shoot. These are just a few that I took. Brian is on a little planet kick so he spent all his time in one place and missed out on some good pic taking action. ..:) You should check out his site though mayajunky.com he does some really amazing stuff in post processing..
